Conference Special Issue – Pure and Applied Chemistry

Following the tradition of previous Green Chemistry Conferences, participants of the #GreenIUPAC2026 will have the opportunity to contribute to a dedicated Special Issue in Pure and Applied Chemistry (PAC), the official journal of IUPAC.

Conference participants are invited to submit either an original research article or a review article, which will be published together as a conference collection highlighting the latest advances in Green and Sustainable Chemistry.

The journal website can be accessed at https://iupac.org/what-we-do/journals/pure-and-applied-chemistry/

When submitting manuscripts, authors should select the “Green Chemistry” option from the submission system dropdown menu. This will ensure that submissions are linked to the #GreenIUPAC2026 Special Issue.

A minimum of approximately 10 accepted articles will be required to complete the issue, and we strongly encourage conference participants to contribute their work.

Importantly, there are no article processing charges (APCs) for publication in Pure and Applied Chemistry, and there are also no additional charges for colour illustrations.

Further information regarding manuscript preparation, submission deadlines, and the submission portal will be announced closer to the conference dates. Registered participants may also receive direct communication from the publisher with details about the Special Issue and submission process.

The Special Issue will be coordinated in collaboration with the conference organisers, who will serve as Guest Editors and oversee the peer-review and editorial process.

We look forward to showcasing the outstanding scientific contributions presented at the #GreenIUPAC2026 through this dedicated publication opportunity.
