Welcome to the Green IUPAC 2026
Dear friends and colleagues,
How can chemistry help build a more sustainable future? What innovations will drive the next generation of green technologies? And who will shape the solutions our planet urgently needs?
These are the questions that bring us together at #GreenIUPAC2026.
The 11th edition of IUPAC International Conference on Green Chemistry | #GreenIUPAC2026, that will be held September 8 to 12, 2026, at the Rectorate of the NOVA University of Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal.
Organised by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry | IUPAC – Interdivisional Committee on Green Chemistry for Sustainable Development | ICGCSD, the Portuguese Chemical Society | SPQ, the NOVA School of Science and Technology | NOVA FCT and the University of Lisbon | ULisboa, the conference will bring together a global community dedicated to advancing sustainable chemistry.
Because great science — and sustainable solutions — happen when people connect.
Join researchers, innovators, industry leaders, policymakers, and educators from around the world to share your work, exchange ideas, and spark new collaborations. With inspiring plenary and invited lectures, #GreenIUPAC2026 will provide a stimulating and friendly environment where discussions on green chemistry and sustainable innovation continue well beyond the lecture hall.
The conference aims to foster dialogue and collaboration across disciplines and sectors, promoting the principles of green chemistry while contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Building on the success of previous editions, #GreenIUPAC2026 will serve as a dynamic forum to explore cutting-edge developments in sustainable chemistry.
